Attention Senior High School Students

BACKSTAGE PASS:
Backstage Pass is a free high school program that takes place over six Wednesdays during the academic year. Applications are open to all students in grades 11 and 12 with a keen interest in the performing arts, giving them an opportunity to take an in-depth look at theatre. Each session starts at with a workshop tailored to our current John Hirsch Mainstage production and is led by a member of Manitoba’s professional theatre community. Past topics have included the audition process, stage combat, dialects, set design, playwriting and more. After lunch, students attend the matinee performance in the John Hirsch Theatre. The day concludes for the students after our post-show Talkback.
Approximately 25-30 students are accepted into the program. The application form can be found here:
