AANM is an organization requiring a strong and effective Board to fully realize its potential in contemporary art and for artists alike. In addition to the standard roles, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for AANM to advance our mission.
We are currently seeking Board Members for a two-year term commitment. You may be an artist or not with or without a disability. We want to reflect the diversity of our Winnipeg community on our Board so we are looking for members new or seasoned that want to be part of a unique group.
The board meets once a month, every third Wednesday generally and takes time off during July and August. Board Members serve a two-year term, but we have found that members have stayed on longer because of their passion for the organization. We are also seeking members to represent committees, assist with events and help us advance accessible art in Manitoba. We are currently looking for nominations for Secretary. No experience is required but you should be able to use Word and Excel. We are happy to help someone develop this skill for their resume.
Please note: Summer Office Hours are 12 – 3 pm for July and August with the exception of July 6th and August 3rd when we will be open from 12 – 9 pm for First Friday. Please join us for the openings and view the work for EXPOSED: Explored, Part II.
