Rhubarb Magazine, published by the Mennonite Literary Society since 1998, is looking for fiction, poetry, visual images, and creative non-fiction for the June issue with the theme of “Dis/Ability” – to give a place for the voices of those of us who struggle mentally or physically, those who care, and those who can imagine it.
Fiction and non-fiction submissions up to a maximum of 3,000 will be considered for publication, and poetry submissions of up to 30 lines, though exceptions may be made. Di Brandt will be editing poetry, Bernice Friesen fiction and nonfiction, and an as-yet-to-be named Guest Editor will be selecting visual images.
The deadline is March 1st.
On-line submissions are encouraged. See www.rhubarbmag.com, or mail to Rhubarb 606-100 Arthur Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1H3. Do not send original copy; none of our paper submissions are returned. Rhubarb purchases only first North American serial rights with $50 and two complimentary issues; copyright remains with the writer or artist.
