Tangled EVENT: Cripping the Arts Symposium

Tangled Art’s will be hosting our Cripping the Arts Symposium from April 28-30 in the School of Disability Studies at Ryerson University, Toronto (99 Gerrard St E, 5th floor, room 560). This symposium will bring together artists, activists, academics, community members, arts administrators, and arts council officers to talk about disability, Deaf, crip, and Mad arts in relation to accessibility, funding, aesthetics, and justice.

This event is free for disabled, Deaf, and Mad people, personal support workers, retired people, and unwaged/underwaged people. For everyone else, the event is PWYC (suggested donation: $100). Spaces is limited, so please RSVP as soon as you can. Registration deadline: April 15th.

Accessibility at the symposium: This event will be in a barrier-free location with an all gender accessible washroom on site. There will be ASL interpreters, live captioning (CART), assistive listening devices, audio description, and attendant care. Guide dogs welcome.
