VIBE: transforming ableism and audism through the arts

“VIBE: transforming ableism and audism through the arts” is a two-day event on Deaf and disability arts being held at Concordia University onDecember 1st and 2nd of 2018 in Montréal, Québec. 

Applications for participation due July 19th. 

About the event

“VIBE” will explore the stakes different Deaf and disability artist communities face, and how their work is offering new approaches to these challenges. The event will include performances and speakers and offer many opportunities for attendees to be in discussion with each other.

How to apply and attend

“VIBE” is totally free and is open to everyone. 

We would love to invite you to apply to come join us for the event, whether as a speaker, performer, or just as someone interested in attending the event. 

If you are interested in being a speaker (giving a short presentation), or performing (showing a short film or performance), please send (in English, French, LSQ or ASL)

  • • A written text including a 50-80 word biography and a 250-word description of what you would like to present AND/OR 
  • • A signed video including a 1-minute biography and a 3-minute description.
