Healing Elements runs September 7th through 19th at The Edge Gallery & Urban
Art Centre at 611 Main Street.
Opening night, September 7th, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., will have live music by Anass
Sebbahi and Nicholas Horyski, appetizers and a cash bar.
Four artists reconnect, using the magic of the natural world and its elements to explore what it means to really “heal”.Roxane Nauboris, Kathleen Shellrude, Maria Epp, and Nicholas Ahrens-Townsend were first brought together in 2017 while completing
residencies at Art Beat. The group is reconnecting again this September to bring you Healing Elements. The title speaks to the inner work each has done in their quest to find balance in their lives. The 4 traditional and non-traditional elements inform each piece. The artists felt much renewal could be drawn from these energies and created art as a group under this overarching theme.
With over one hundred pieces of art, the show is as varied as the paths toward
wellness are. This group of artists has cultivated their best to show how greater,
holistic healing can be drawn from the natural elements of the universe.

Saturday, September 8th and Saturday, September 15th feature low cost art
workshops suitable for any level, ages 13 and above. Watercolour galaxies and
Ebru art will be taught from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, September 14th, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. all four artists will be in attendance
speaking about their inspirations and processes, followed by an informal question
and answer.
The gallery is open Tuesday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.,
Thursday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
