Anti-Ableism Workshop for the Arts

Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba is proud to announce the launch of our Anti-Ableism Workshop for the Arts.

This workshop funded by the Winnipeg Foundation, features discussions on ableism, the history of disability in Canada, the disability rights movement, disability and Deaf language and protocols, notable disability art organizations in Canada, famous artists with disabilities, and practical advice for creating accessible events.

The workshop runs for 4hrs which includes a break.

The workshop can be presented virtually or in person. We recommend booking the workshop in person at your organization so that the facilitator can give practical tips on how to make your space more accessible and welcoming to the Deaf and disability community.

The cost of the workshop is $50 per person with a minimum of four participants. 

Larger groups receive a discount:

10 participates: $400

20 participants: $800
