Manitoba Craft Council and Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba are on the lookout for craftspeople, craft-based artists, and makers to be part of our forthcoming Manitoba Craft Council Spring 2027 group exhibition. Artists who identify as d/Deaf and/or disabled with an emerging to professional-level proficiency in a craft or a craft-related art practice, we want to hear from you.
Exhibition
- Selected craft artists will be part of a 3-4 person group exhibition at the C2 Centre for Craft in May and June 2027. The exhibition will include:
- CARFAC artist fees paid to participating artists
- A custom-designed catalogue and poster
- Staff support for the preparation and creation of the exhibition and installation of works
- Opening reception
Key Dates:
July 26th, 2026: Submission Deadline
August 21st, 2026: Notification of initial results from submission
March 2nd, 2027: Catalogue information deadline for artists (images of works, artist bios)
April 27-30th, 2027: Installation of show
May 1st, 2027: Opening Reception
How to apply?
Please send us the following items via the Submit button below (this will open a Google form).
- A short description of your background and your practice. This can contain information about your training and education as well as inspirations, mentors, and research interests that affect your practice. (300-500 words max)
- 3-5 images of your craft based work
- Optional equity statement: Are you part of an underserved and underrepresented group? Please self identify below. (examples given but not limited to: BIPOC, LGBTQA+, Person living with an disability, refugee etc)
