TWO-DAY WORKSHOP | 4 & 5 March, 5:30-9 PM
Are you afraid of the dark? Don’t be! Ditch the digital and enter an incredible dark world where the word JPEG is just four random letters that mean absolutely nothing. Get up to speed on the basics of black-and-white photographic darkroom printing, or refresh your memory on the process if it’s been a while. You’ll never be afraid of the dark again!
TIMES & LOCATION:
– Wednesday, 4 March, 5:30-9 PM
– Thursday, 5 March, 5:30-9 PM
– the workshops will take place in PLATFORM’s darkrooms.
– meet in the gallery (suite 121-100 Arthur St.)
OVER TWO DAYS YOU WILL:
– learn how to develop film
– print a contact sheet
– print images
– decide to throw away your digital cameras in abject disgust
WHAT TO BRING:
– ready-to-develop, exposed roll of 35mm black and white film
– chemicals and printing paper will be provided
SCHEDULE:
– Wednesday 5:30–9 PM: developing and contact sheet printing
– Thursday 5:30–9 PM: printing
